WHAT’S ON MY FACE #9
I wasn’t actually planning on taking photos on this day, but after I did my base using a favourite I haven’t used in a while, mixing it with a new favourite all over highlighter, I started to really like the look.
Before applying any makeup I smothered my under eye area with Alpha H Eye Complex as my makeup has been clinging to a few dry patches and this eye cream does wonders for dryness. When I used the Bobbi Brown and the Clarins together I felt like I had quite a flawless base, so I thought it was a good time to give my Kevyn Aucoin cream blusher a go. I feel like I’ll never find the perfect way to apply cream blushers, but using my finger and the Real Techniques stippling brush seemed to work well for now. I’m happy with the shade I chose and once blended in it looks really natural.

On my eyes I wanted to try the new Estée Lauder Pure Color Stay on Shadow Paints a bit more. I used the shade ‘chained’ and wow, I love it. The mousse texture is really easy and quite satisfying to blend and I really like the bronzy colour (it would look amazing on green eyes!). After blending it under the eye I really liked the look just like that, so I simply added a similar bronze eyeliner to the top and that was it! You know how I feel about this mascara, I wrote a raving review last week, I don’t need to say anymore – in fact I should probably shut up about it now.
On my lips I tried out a new one for me, MAC Rebel, which is a deep fuchsia berry. I like the colour, but I did struggle a bit to apply it. I’m comparing this lipstick with another similar one on Thursday, so come back to see what I think!
Finally, on my nails, what I call the classy glitter nail. Usually when I wear glitter I go a bit crazy, but I tried mixing a muted taupe with a rainbow sparse glitter and I love the effect!
