Great post, thanks for sharing. I love your home decor posts. I totally agree with you about Pinterest… it’s not so helpful when it comes to renovation tips and practical ideas, I prefer Instagram, interior design blogs or magazines… I love AD, Living, Elle Decor, Domus and Casa Facile (an Italian home decor magazine). You are right when it comes to our room, we are very strict, and try to listen as little as possible to others. This is my room, and only mine, and I want to see furniture of exactly this shade and spit on the opinion of the whole world. As for your idea of saving photos in instagram, this is really very useful. During your travels along the ribbon, you can often stumble upon steep objects of interior or clothing. After you have something like a personal album of things you liked. They can help you choose some details, or push you to the design of the room. You can always steal someone’s idea and do something similar, is not it? 🙂

The best piece of advice I can give you lily is stick with neutrals throughout and add colour with accents of your preferred shade. This way it won’t date so quickly and as trends and your preferences change they are easy to swop out and it makes it easy to update and breathe new life into a room, without having the costly and time consuming nightmare of having to repaint or paper everywhere. You do you, but the best homes are autobiographical and it’s your home so it needs to be a functional space. Trends come and go in the blink of an eye. Investment in items that won’t date, that you love and you are unlikely to get bored of is my personal recommendation.
