CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC FOUNDATION REVIEW
Last week I was introduced to Charlotte Tilbury’s beautiful Christmas collection as well as a couple of new products that are launching towards the end of the year. To say that Charlotte Tilbury is enthusiastic about her line would be an under statement. She is the most passionate person I have ever met and hearing her talk about a foundation that she’s spent 5 years developing? Well I really did think at one point she was going to explode with excitement.
So let’s talk about this magic foundation first seeing as it has been in the making for so long. Apparently it just kept getting sent back to the labs until it was right and Charlotte only now feels ready to release it to the world. She wanted something full coverage that would cover acne, scarring, redness and discolouration as well as smooth out wrinkles and wake up tired looking skin. With the new foundation Charlotte has also released a new brush, the Magic Complexion Brush. To launch the new foundation they created a series of before and after photos on a range of different skin types, so I thought I’d do one of my own so you can see the difference the foundation makes.
It definitely works to cover up any redness or blemishes but for me I found it a little too heavy. I’m not one for full coverage so I’m kind of the wrong target audience and I think my heart will always belong to her Light Wonder foundation instead. It applied nicely and blended in quickly but it gave me that block foundation look rather than really meshing into my skin. Unfortunately despite being really excited to try it I was disappointed in the brush. It shed a lot when I used it. So that was a shame.
I love Charlotte Tilbury products though and I think this foundation would be really good if you do like that extra coverage and you have scarring or acne to cover. It’s semi-matte so will last well and won’t need powdering. Charlotte is also releasing the Mini Miracle Eye Wand which I think I’m going to really like. I didn’t get the right shade to test properly but from what I tried on the day it seemed really lovely. An eye cream on one end infused with hyaluronic acid and an illuminating light reflector on the other (that actually gives really decent coverage). This is the first time anyone has paired an eye cream with a reflector in one product and I think it’s great. I can’t wait to try my shade!
So that’s what’s new from Charlotte Tilbury and you know you’re always going to get great quality with her products because she really pours her heart and soul into each and every one. So which of these do you think you’ll be trying?
