OLIVIA PALERMO X CIATE
I don’t really have a style icon but whenever the question comes up (and it does, a lot) my default answer is usually Olivia Palermo. Ever since my addiction to ‘The City’ I’ve found her style incredible sophisticated and chic. She just seems to know what she likes and it gives her this calm confidence that doesn’t seem too over the top. She’s overlapped into the beauty world on quite a few occasions and this time round it’s with nails.
Ciate and Olivia Palermo (their guest creative director) have collaborated to release her debut nail collection. This is the first of four collections to launch and they’ve set the bar pretty high with this one; 3 beautiful shades that fit perfectly with Olivia’s style.
Olivia’s favourite of the 3 is ‘Hutch’ and is apparently her “go to red”. The shade is a classic, sophisticated red and is inspired by and named after her mother. The shade I’m wearing is ‘Nantucket’ which is the shade Olivia refers to as her “haute vacation red”. It has a softer, coral tint to it that works perfectly in the summer months. ‘Sundays’ was created to be an “off duty nude”, a soft powder pink hue to wear on the weekends.
Ciate polishes are always great quality and these polishes also come in exclusive boxed up packaging with Olivia’s own personal touch. This does, however, crank up the price to £17 compared to £9 for their most basic polish. I think it’s a nice collaboration, but I think these shades in particular can also be found elsewhere. What do you think of the collaboration? It’s out now so have a little peak next time you’re near a Ciate stand.
