I used to straighten my hair every week until my friend told me it really started to damage her hair. Now I have to find a way to live with my curly hair, but i just don’t feel like it suits me very well. I prefer the straight hair it’s easier you can play around with different styles without having to worry about what it will look like. Now I literally have to think twice before lying down on my couch with curly hair since it completely messes up the curls. This is my first comment ever on your blog. I follow your youtube channel as well and I think you’re doing a lovely job as a blogger 🙂 Anyways, your hair was truly beautiful with curls, you were just using the wrong products. I struggled with crunchy curls for years until I discovered the miracle of oils and hair conditioning for curls. My curls are shoulder length, as is a constant struggle for it to grow. I get complimented alot on my hair, because most people just don’t know how to style it!
You look good either way, I’m just saying this because the heat is so damaging for the hair.
Keep up the good work 😉

Then I learned that the less I fought with my curls, the more beautiful they became. These days I use only sulfate and silicone free products, and my regular “styling product” is regular conditioner that I don’t rinse out in the shower. I let it air dry and my hair is soft, flowy, and bouncy like it never could have been when I was frying and drying it with harsh chemical-y products and heat. That said, I think your hair now suits you and if you love it, you do you!
