EASTER EGG NAILS
For this week’s nail post I’m sharing a recent video I made for the Beauty Recommended YouTube channel. It’s an Easter themed makeup and nail tutorial so it ties in perfectly with this Sunday’s nail post and I thought it would give you a bit of nailspiration ahead of next weekend!
You know by now that I’m a full-blown pastel nail lover but on Easter weekend it’s always essential for me to create something light, pretty and fun. This time I thought I’d take it a step further and do something a little bit different. This dotty Easter egg look is really easy to create, all you need is a few pastel shades, a dotting tool and some patience.
After painting each nail a different colour using a mix of Maxfactor Glossfinity and Soigne nail polish, I then used the large side of the dotting tool to create white dots up the side of the nail. Then using the smaller side of the dotting tool I used alternate colours to dot inside the white dots… make sense? Just make sure to wait for the polish to dry in between stages, especially before applying topcoat and don’t let the polish for dotting dry out too much as it’ll make it harder to apply.
Watch the video above for a full demonstration with a mini Easter makeup tutorial thrown in too. I hope you’re all having a great Easter Sunday and let me know if you try this look yourself!
