Glasgow Photo Diary
If’ you’ve already watched my vlog then you’ll know what we got up to on our two day trip to Scotland. But I thought I’d also make a little photo diary for those who prefer to read a blog, than watch a video.
We were in Glasgow for the EMA Awards and it was mine and Anna’s first time there. Something we really noticed was how lovely everyone was. The cab drivers, the people in restaurants, the hotel staff… everyone seemed really friendly! We stayed at the Citizen M hotel and we had a great stay.
On Sunday we walked around town catching up with our friend Kate. For lunch we went to a Mexican restaurant called Topolabamba, which I think is new. It was nice, but probably not as good as Wahaca in my books. Having a young guy singing and playing the guitar live was both amazing and incredibly awkward. Never the less it was a lovely lunch catching up with friends.
Sunday evening was the EMA awards which was hosted at the amazing SSE Hydro. I really liked my makeup for the evening and those of you who watched my vlog seemed to as well! I wore Tom Ford ‘Spiced’ cream eyeshadow and a mix of Tom Ford Black Dahlia and Crimson Noir on my lips. It was really fun watching the awards and seeing all the backstage bits that you don’t see on TV. After the show we headed to the after party, but you’ll have to watch the vlog to see what really happened…
On Monday we spent most the day working, but in between editing we popped out for lunch to a place called Ox & Finch. It was definitely up there with one of my favourite meals I’ve had. It’s kind of tapas style with a range of meats, fish and delicious vegetable dishes. We got about five small plates to share between us and it was the perfect amount. I’d highly recommend this place!
Samsonite were one of the sponsors of the EMA Awards and gifted all the artists with one of their new Lite Cube DLX. They kindly gave us one too and sent us on our Scottish adventure, so thanks to Samsonite! The cases were so helpful and an organised girls dream inside! They were super light, although I packed mine so full that I needed help putting in the over head compartment as I nearly knocked someone out with it!
So I hope you’ve enjoyed this photo diary and check back this afternoon for my Disappointed Products video.
