As we mentioned in Ruth’s video yesterday, we were supposed to film our favourite holiday scented products but things didn’t quite go to plan. Seeing as I had the products all ready to go I thought I’d do a post about them anyway!
That coconut/pineapple/beachy scent is a big favourite of mine as it instantly transports you to your dream holiday. There’s something so comforting and relaxing about the scent of a holiday and these are the products that do it for me…
A holiday without a Piña Colada is a very sad holiday indeed. This continuous SPF spray is not only really handy for quick, stress-free application but the smell… oh wow, the smell. It doesn’t say whether it protects from UVA and UVB on the packaging so just to be safe I wouldn’t use this for sunbathing but it’s good if you need a quick top up and it’s really cooling too! *UPDATE* Coola have confirmed it is both UVA and UVB protected, it just doesn’t say on the packaging! Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body Wash // This one isn’t a traditional ‘holiday smell’ but it’s really fresh and zesty so it’s great to use in the Summer. I’ve had this in my shower for a while now and I’ve been loving using it. The Soap & Glory body wash range is really nice and this is my current favourite. Illume Pineapple Cilantro Candle //
This candle is so beautiful to look at that it pains me to burn it. Illume is a brand you can get in Anthropologie although these specific candles have been quite hard to find! The packaging is gorgeous and this one specifically has little pineapple prints all over it. The scent is fresh, sweet and completely lifts the room. Pineapple should definitely be an all-year round thing!
Burt’s Bees Coconut & Pear Lip Balm //
I was overwhelmed by all the different scented lip balm in the Burt’s Bees pop-up store in Covent Garden and I thought I’d never be able to pick one. But the minute I smelt the Coconut & Pear one I was in love. It reminds me of a coconut lipgloss I used to wear as a child and the pear scent makes it really delicious on your lips. The packaging is really small so it hardly takes up any room in your bag and the formula is really nice and moisturising.
Estée Lauder Bronzed Goddess //
Bronzed Goddess is a range that Estée Lauder bring out every Summer. This always includes the Bronzed Goddess perfume although sometimes it’s a slightly different limited edition scent. This one is from last year and I save it to wear in the summer. It’s completely opposite to my usual perfumes, sweet and a little but sickly, but there’s something about it that I completely love. It smells a bit like sun cream, but in a really nice way. I really like it and always look forward to wearing it in the Summer.
