JAPONESQUE MAKEUP
Japonesque have finally launched their beauty line and I went straight to John Lewis to have a look. I’ve been a big fan of their makeup brushes and beauty tools for a long time so I had high expectations and wasn’t disappointed.
I visited the John Lewis Oxford Street counter and was greeted with friendly, enthusiastic staff and an array of colourful, unique looking makeup. The range is huge with two foundations, concealer, powder, blushers, lipsticks, lip lacquers, single eyeshadows, eyeshadow duos, eyeshadow palettes, eye pencils and two mascaras. I was really impressed by the price point, with the most expensive products (foundations and eyeshadow palette) costing only £24 which really isn’t that bad. I naturally gravitated towards the eyeshadow quads, in particular the shade 2 palette. You know how I love a good neutral eyeshadow palette and this one has four beautiful shades in a creamy, wearable formula.
The packaging of the whole range is really unique and pretty, it has a sort of artistic feel about it which goes with the makeup artist brand well. I’d really recommending visiting a counter if you can or browsing the products online here. I’m really looking forward to trying more bits, especially the lipsticks!
