LIPSTICK QUEEN VELVET ROPE
Poppy King, the founder of Lipstick Queen really is the queen of lipsticks, so when a new LQ launch is announced I always expect big things.
The Velvet Rope collection is inspired by the glamorous years of Hollywood, true luxury at it’s finest. There are 5 new shades in the collection, all of which were made to feel velvety soft on the lips, but give intense, pigmented colour good enough for the red carpet.
The lipsticks contain a new ingredient, Silicone Elastomer which is what helps them glide weightlessly onto the lips without dragging at all. The formula also contains natural waxes like Candelilla, Carnauba and Beeswax as well as anti-oxidants such as Vitamin E and Apricot Oil. You can really tell the amazing quality from the moment you apply them to your lips.
They really do feel weightless on, but give incredible colour impact. The shade ‘Brat Pack’ on the left is a true Hollywood red and ‘Black Tie’ is a deep glamorous red. Also in the collection is a hot pink, a rich wine and ‘the ultimate nude’.
The Velvet Rope lipsticks are pricey at £35 each, but if it’s quality you’re after, you won’t find anything better. Lipstick Queen is the brand for true lipstick junkies.
