AUTUMN EYES
I really enjoy wearing deeper, warmer shades during Autumn, especially on my eyes. Here are three looks that I’ll be rotating over the next couple of months.
Copper Rust //
Although this look works really well on green eyes, I think us brown eyed girls can get away with it too! Wearing orange/copper tones is a lovely warmer take on an everyday brown eyeshadow. I used Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadow in 22E as the base underneath MAC Amber Lights and MAC Texture in the crease. For a little extra copper-ness I lightly dusted some L’Oreal Infallible Amber Rush just on the centre of the eye.
Earthy Green //
I have always been a fan of green eyeshadow, especially on brown eyes. I recently picked up the Wet’n’Wild Confort Zone palette and the selection of greens in there are spot on! The lightest lime green works really well all over the lid to brighten and I then blended the darker moss green into the crease and under the eye. The ‘definer’ green is just like MAC Club so I used a tiny bit in the outer corner and blended it out until it because a greeny brown.
Rich Plum //
Although the thought of purple eyeshadow is scary, it’s actually incredibly easy to wear and isn’t that different to brown. To create this plummy look, I primed the eyes with the Mally Age Rebel eyeshadow crayon in Smoky Quartz and then blended Illamasqua ‘Forgiveness’ into the crease and under the eye. To add a pretty shimmer, I took ‘Toasted’ from the Urban Decay Naked palette and gently placed it on the inner first half of the eyelid.
So if you’re failing to find inspiration on how to change up your makeup for Autumn, hopefully this helped to nudge you in the right direction!
