BURNISHED GOLD
Whilst flicking through the Allure September issue, the ‘colour of the moment’ article grabbed my attention. Wait, don’t I have that Clinique Chubby Stick somewhere in my drawers?
According to Allure, burnished gold is the colour of the moment and the Clinique Chubby Stick in Whopping Willow is in their top 3. It’s a colour I wasn’t too sure about when I first tried it, but thanks to Allure I gave it another go and completely fell in love!
Burnished Gold is a deeper, smokier, slightly green tinted gold and it can look really sultry and flattering. Taking advice from the mag I used the Chubby Stick to create a really thick line under the eye and also took it all over the lid before blending out the edges with a brush. I used an eyeliner from Anastasia that’s a very similar colour and lined the upper lash line to smoke it out even more.
Burnished Gold is definitely going to be one of my favourite makeup shades for Autumn, so thanks Allure for the heads up!
