EVENING DATE MAKEUP

For the evening I wanted to take things up a notch, but still keeping the overall feel very nude and natural. To achieve flawless, radiant skin I used the Laura Mercier Radiance primer under the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation (4.5). I used the Smashbox under eye primer to make sure my NARS and by Terry concealer lasts all night. The by Terry Touche Veloutee works well to create brightness under the eyes which really adds dimension to the face. After the skin has all been blended and perfected I set it with the Soap & Glory One Heck of  Blot powder, it’s invisible on the skin but makes all the difference.

A bit of contour and highlight can really flatter your face and show off your cheekbones, but be careful not to go too overboard with it as it can look a bit too catwalk for a date. To lightly contour I used the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder but didn’t take it too low under the cheekbones and to highlight I used Dior Amber Diamond. For a pretty pink blush I relied on my favourite NARS blush, ‘Deep Throat’ and lightly dusted it on the apples of my cheeks.

I wanted to make the eyes quite smokey, but without using any harsh black and keeping everything very bronze. For the base I used MAC ‘Eclair’ paint pot and then MAC ‘Club’ just in the outer corners. To line the upper lash line I used the Tom Ford ‘Expresso’ eyeliner and slightly blended it out with a small brush. The YSL Babydoll mascara is incredibly lengthening and leaves you with fluttery lashes and to finish off the look I created nude lips with the Soap & Glory ‘Super nude’ lipstick. As I said before, red lips are a no-go, especially if there’s dinner involved!

So I hope this mini dating series was helpful to some of you and good luck with any dates you have coming up! When it comes down to it, it’s not about how you look it’s about how you feel so adapt my tips to what works for you and enjoy yourself!
