CLUTCH BAG ESSENTIALS
When getting ready to out to a bar, to a wedding, to any kind of event, I tend to spend ages getting ready and then last minute I remember to downsize my handbag. It’s always a bit of a mad rush but now I’ve got a little list in my head so I know what I need to grab and pack.
My dad’s good old saying “phone, money, keys” is a constant reminder when I leave the house, so those go in. I downsize my huge purse for a simple Whistles Oyster Card holder where I also put my cards and ID.
Boring stuff out the way, when it comes to beauty bits I don’t take that much with me. I’m not so much of a mirror-checker, which is why I’m so into long lasting makeup! I do like to take some emergency bits though just in case. My Soap & Glory translucent powder and Guerlain travel brush go in, as well as my lipstick of choice that evening. I like to pack my Rimmel nude eyeliner because it’s the perfect thing to hide tired eyes if you start to flag. Something that’s always in my bag is my Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful cream blush because it’s really easy to touch up with your fingers and doubles up as a handy mirror if I ever remember to check it. Finally, my trusty hand sanitizer because I can’t be without it and I love this one from Cowshed.
My phone case is from Casetagram and it was so easy to make. I picked three of my favourite photos from my blog, but you can also do a collage of your favourite instagram photos. I wanted something bright and pretty for the summer and I’ve been getting lots of compliments on this case!
A slimmed down edit that fits perfectly in my Whistles makeup/clutch bag means I have more time for getting ready and need less time for the bag swap showdown.
