CHANEL LILIS
Thanks to Amelia and her ridiculous generosity, I painted my nails in Chanel Lilis this week. For someone who has hundreds of nail polishes, it’s a bit crazy that this is only my second Chanel nail polish. I was disappointed with the longevity of my first one and chose not to repurchase because the price point didn’t seem to match the quality. So it’s a year later and about time I gave them another go!
We all know the packaging is beautiful, it’s Chanel! The colour ‘Lilis’ is a pinky coral that’s not quite as orange as Chanel ‘Holiday’ but slightly darker than Nails Inc ‘Portobello’. I’m a big fan of orange nails and because of the pink undertones this one is not too bright and looks really pretty on the nails.
So how did it perform? It actually applied really nicely despite not have a wide brush. The brush is quite long which makes it easy to swipe the whole nail smoothly. Whilst writing this post I am onto day three with no chips, so it has already redeemed itself compared to the last Chanel polish I tried that chipped on day 2. I can tell the formula has been improved slightly and although you can find cheaper alternatives I wouldn’t feel as guilty treating myself to one of these now I know they’re not so bad.
What do you think of Chanel Lilis?
