BACK TO SCHOOL STATIONERY
Going back to school was always quite a big deal for me, but the one thing I always looked forward to was buying new stationery. I wasn’t very good at writing notes in class and my revision skills were awful, but you could always be sure that if I were to write notes or revise I would be using the cutest pen or pencil and organising them the prettiest folder!
I’ve picked out some of my favourite stationery bits from the shops I love, so if you’re not quite ready for September this might give you a little push.
Muji is one of my favourite stores for buying pretty much everything! Their stationery section is pinterest worthy but I somehow limited myself to just four things. First of all… the rubber. This rubber was pretty much a celebrity in my school, we used them as some sort of pencil case bragging tool. When you run out of rubber you simply pull down the string to break the paper casing, which then pulls off into a swirl to throw away… genius. They also do a really cute set of mini highlighters, which I would have used in English to pretend I was concentrating and highlighting important sentences. If you’re prone to making mistakes then tipex is important and this one from Muji is really discreet and small. If you don’t make mistakes but you’re a doodler like me then this will come in really handy for creating cool patterns on the back of your textbook. The final thing I picked up from Muji was this little white ruler that is the perfect pencil case size… who needs those giant, ugly folding rulers now!
My other favourite shop is Paperchase and it’s where I always buy my birthday cards from but find myself spending hours browsing the stationery. They always have the cutest patterns and colours and the range of products is huge! I grabbed a mechanical pencil and a 4 colour pen to save room. I also picked up this amazing calculator which I was actually able to photograph after spending 15 minutes trying to remember how to get ‘BOOBLESS’.
If you want to do really well in school you probably shouldn’t worry about how cool the contents of your pencil case is, but when I was nervous about starting a new term a little stationery haul really did help!
Anyone else a stationery addict? Good luck to those of you going back to school… don’t worry it’ll be over soon and then you’ll wish you could go back!
