WATERPROOF MAKEUP REMOVAL
Following on from Monday’s post, if you’ve been prepping your makeup to last the heat it’s likely you’ll also need help removing it. When I’m wearing waterproof makeup my usual Bioderma just won’t cut it so I call in the super makeup removers.
Something they all have in common is they look like they are in two parts because of the oil. The oil is what helps break down the waterproof makeup, so a cleansing oil would also do a good job.
My favourite from the bunch is the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover, which I also have in a handy travel size. Shake it up, pour it onto some cotton wool and then with one swipe your eye makeup is removed. It doesn’t sting at all and actually leaves your eye area feeling really moisturised.
The Smashbox ‘It’s a Wrap’ and Elemis White Flowers Eye & Lip makeup remover are both pretty similar. I felt like a few eye rubs were needed to remove all the makeup, but they both did a good job on doing so. They did feel a but ‘wet’ though compared to the Clarins. Most waterproof eye makeup removers I’ve tried do the job well and most feel like these two do, but for something really good, I’d go for the Clarins!
What do you use to remove your waterproof makeup?
