rose tinted lips
Lily face overload? … yeah I thought so.
Today’s post is basically a big thumbs up to rose coloured lip products. Lipstick is my weakness but instead of stocking up on fuchsias and reds I seem to always reach for the ‘my lips but better’ rose. I gathered some together and wanted to show you the ones I haven’t featured before and what they actually look like on my lips.
My favourites from the bunch are Clinique Chubby Intense in ‘Roomiest Rose’, MAC mineralise rich in ‘Elegant Accent’, Clarins Instant light natural lip perfector in ’05’ and Dior Addict ‘blush’. The new MAC mineralise rich lipsticks are lovely, they apply really nicely, the colour range is good but wow, have you seen the price tag?! I’m not so sure they’re worth £20 but I do love ‘Elegant Accent’ for an everyday lip.
The Wild About Beauty nutrilips balm in ‘Camelia’ is a new limited edition shade and it’s really pretty! I’m not a huge fan of applying tinted lip balm from a pot but it did leave a pretty pink shade perfect for the Summer. One that unfortunately didn’t tickle my fancy was the Revlon suede in ‘030 High Heels’. I had high hopes for these ‘suede’ lipsticks when they arrived, but after trying them a few times I can’t get them to apply evenly and they seem to separate on my lips and show any dry bits. The Make Up For Ever aqua lip in 14C is meant to be a lip liner but I find these are so creamy you can use them all over. It might feel a little drying after a while but I find it to be a really good base for rose lipsticks.
I haven’t spoken about them all here, so if you have any questions about the others feel free to tweet me @lilypebbles
