THE COOKIE DOUGH JAR
If you haven’t yet seen Anna’s cookie recipe post, then head over there right NOW… well actually, read this first then go! This recipe is seriously the best I’ve ever tried. It makes 12 (or 24 in my case) of the most delicious, melt in the middle, Ben’s Cookie style cookies.
When I first made these cookies I made far too many, so my mum suggested putting the dough balls that weren’t going into the oven in the freezer. This was the best idea because it meant that the next time I wanted to make some I could just de-frost them, put them in the oven for 10 minutes and I’d have a fresh batch of cookies!
It then occurred to me, wouldn’t that make the best gift? A jar full of frozen cookie balls (ah damn, I avoided that word for so long!). You can easily get these jars from home-ware stores, Ikea or Tescos (that’s where I found mine!). I also got a little paper tag to tie on which I wrote cooking instructions on.
For this one I made a triple chocolate cookies (with cocoa powder) and Dairy Milk and Orea cookies (without cocoa), but you can add in whatever you like. So head over to Anna’s recipe, whip up a batch and just before the oven step, keep some aside to give as a gift, they’ll love it!
What do you think of the cookie dough jar? Would you like to get this as a gift?
