INSIDE THE HAIR BASKET
I’ve had lots of lovely hair compliments on my YouTube channel recently so it seemed the right time for a haircare update…
I’m still using Ojon Dry Recovery shampoo and conditioner and I’m pretty sure that won’t change any time soon. They’ve completely changed my hair for the better and made it much more manageable and healthy. A new product that’s been added to the routine is the Charles Worthington Intense Melting Rescue Balm which I use as a pre-shampoo treatment. You rub the balm in between your hands and when it turns into an oil you run in through your hair. It’s a really great ‘budget buy’ mask that I would definitely recommend. After I wash my hair I use the UNITE 7 Seconds detangler which makes brushing through knots a dream. I love the smell of it and this bottle has lasted me SO long and there’s still loads of product left!
Before straightening I use a heat protector because my hair is already quite damaged and this one from Redken is really nice because it also smoothes out the hair and works like a serum or an oil would at taming frizz. When I use straighteners in the morning just to straighten the frizzy bits I use the TRESemmé heat defence because the spritz is so light it doesn’t wet my hair.
I’m still loving my Mythic Oil and use this on damp and dry hair whenever it needs a bit of love and attention. I find this oil instantly makes my hair look healthier and gives it a bit of weight which is something my frizzy hair needs. When I’m not wanting to use an oil and if my hair is nearly due a wash then I opt for a cream and I have been loving the Phyto creams. I picked up the Phyto 7 before my flight to Thailand and it really helped keep my hair hydrated on the plane. I use Phyto 9 on the really dry hair days.
So only nine products for one head, that’s not that bad is it?? Whoops.
