ESTÉE LAUDER MAD MEN COLLECTION
For today’s post I’m excited to show you a couple of the products from the new Mad Men collection by Estée Lauder. I remember before I got into this whole beauty blogging thing I didn’t know anything about new collections, when they were out, what they were all about so I like to update you all on these things!
The Spring collection includes three products, the See Thru Blush, the Rich Lipstick and the Pink Paisley Nail Lacquer, all inspired by the 60s beauty look shown in the TV series Mad Men.
First of all let’s point out the obvious… the to-die-for, amazing, cute, 60s packaging. It’s so spot on and it’s the sort of makeup you want to get out on the tube just so people can see it. The lipstick is small, delicate and pretty and the blush compact is really weighted and has a beautiful design on it.
The ‘Pinkadelic’ lipstick is a lovely formula but I would say it is a little to pearly for me. The shade is really pretty though and leaves a nice pink sheen on your lips. The blush has become a favourite of mine and I’ve being using it a lot this month. The pigmentation is really great so you only need a tiny amount and it’ll go far. It’s a universal pink that I think will suit a lot of different skin tones.
They’re collectors pieces, they’re for real make up lovers and I think Estée Lauder fans will love this. Obviously the price point is high, it’s fit for their target market. Either way the collection is beautiful and something worth stopping to look at next time you’re near a counter.
