Origins: NEW Selfridges Counter
More Origins? Well yeah… I’m their biggest fan. You all know how much I love Origins and they do too, so they invited me down to Selfridges to go behind the scenes of their new counter the day before opening day. Selfridges is like my second home, I’m in their all the time and I always thought it was weird how small the Origins counter was, so I was really interested to take a sneak peak at what the new counter would look like.
It was all boarded up and they were just adding the finishing touches when I turned up. Chiara (the visual merchandiser) then talked me though her creation bit by bit, shelf by shelf.
The counter is in the same position as it was before but has been extended by quite a bit and pushed back to give some more browsing space. It’s very similar to most Origins counters you’ll see now with a few extra touches. There’s an exclusive gift wrapping station that offers gift tags in 6 different languages. You’ll see in certain parts of the counter the is quite a bit of Chinese writing and this is because of the specific people that shop at the Selfridges counter and I really like how they’ve done proper research into their customers. There is also an exclusive tote bag which is given out with any purchase over £75. The whole counter is really sleek, clean and quite clinical (in a nice way). Science and research is so important to the brand and it shows in the way they present their products.
I also love the wall where they display their top selling products because I think that’s always something I ask at counters I’m new to.
To celebrate the new counter they are running a few really cool promotions.
Week 2: Receive a full size Origins Face Mask when you trade in any product and make a skincare purchase.
Week 3: Get a free Ginger rollerball when you purchase two products
Week 4: Receive a free cotton tote bag with any purchase
They will also be bringing out luxury crackers for Christmas that contain two Origins goodies. A box of six are £45.
