Nail Porn with Sophy Robson
After the blogger hunt in Westfield I thought I’d go for a wander around the Car Boutique before heading home. Whilst browsing, I was approached by Firetrap and asked if I wanted my nails done by Sophy Robinson…. yes, she said Robinson. Me being the nail obsessed person that I am, knew she meant Sophy Robson. So unlike all the other shoppers in Westfield who politely turn down her offer, I said “YES PLEASE!”. For a while I thought really? Is Sophy Robson really gonna sit in Westfield and paint nails?
But then she turned up, literally fresh from London Fashion Week! Zoe and I sat and chatted to her… or should I say, interviewed her, whilst she painted my nails.
It was so amazing to hear all her stories from all the amazing events she’s worked at. Hearing about how she set up her new company Nail Porn (what an amazing name) and about how she started by sitting on the sofa on a sunday night painting her own nails.
She created some of my favourite nail designs, such as the ‘Eek’ nails from the Giles Deacon show – did you know she also started the dalmatian print?? She’s a seriously talented lady who is SO normal and grounded. She told us how she picks nail polish purely by it’s colour… she uses all different polishes, from Topshop to Chanel… but swears by her Seche Vite Top Coat!

Zoe and I both left feeling so happy… it was a real pleasure to get to chat to her and hear all about what she does and why.
It can be really frustrating in the ‘nail world’ not be able to own a print and prove that you started it, but I can tell you all now… Sophy Robson is the queen of nails and all the designs you love came straight out her creative head.
